Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, named after the 28th sultan of Brunei is located in the capital city Bandar Seri Begawan of Brunei. Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, a symbol of the Islamic faith, was completed in 1958. The mosque, a very good example of modern islamic architecture is influenced by both islamic and Italian styles. This mosque is constructed on the banks of the Brunei river on an artificial lagoon, surrounded by a water village.
